Job Summary
PayPay, a fintech company with over 70 million users, is seeking a Marketing Promotion Staff for its Fintech business. This role involves defining core values and delivering them to users to maximize PayPay's business. The position focuses on promoting the standalone use and cross-use of financial services (banking, securities, insurance, and some card business) within the PayPay group. Responsibilities include planning, execution, and analysis of marketing activities, from customer journey design to promotion planning, with an emphasis on rapid iteration and AI collaboration to establish PayPay as a leading financial platform.
Must Have
- Service Go-to-Market (GTM) experience
- Practical experience in marketing strategy and planning
- Business level or higher Japanese language skills
- Experience in DX planning and promotion utilizing generative AI such as Chat-GPT, Gemini
Good to Have
- Consumer service Go-to-Market (GTM) experience
- Experience as a PM or PMO
- Practical experience in advertising improvement and CRM for consumer service growth
- Knowledge and experience in data analysis
- Work experience in fast-paced companies (IT, venture, etc.)
- Marketing experience in financial businesses or services
- Understanding of financial laws and regulations
- Business level English proficiency

Introduction to the Financial Marketing Department, the assignment destination for this position
This department is responsible for marketing planning areas that promote standalone use and cross-use of financial businesses (banking/securities/insurance in general and some card businesses), as well as overall marketing activities related to bank connections and charge cost optimization.

Background of Recruitment
PayPay is launching various new services to make its financial business a pillar of its operations alongside payments. This recruitment is an addition to expand the financial marketing organization to further accelerate the launch and expansion of these services.
The financial sector is a new business area, with many business launches proceeding in parallel. We believe it is crucial to conduct preliminary research and marketing plan formulation, inspect UI/UX before market launch, and rapidly refine after market launch by observing numerical data and user reactions. We are looking for individuals who can quickly cycle through these processes.
Specific Job Responsibilities
Currently, PayPay is focusing on various marketing activities to further strengthen synergy effects with its financial group companies, including subsidiaries PayPay Bank, PayPay Securities, PayPay Card, and PayPay Insurance. You will be responsible for planning and implementing user approaches to enable PayPay to evolve from just a payment function to a financial platform, and for promoting overall marketing activities from designing customer journeys to designing promotions. You will collaborate with group companies in the financial business to implement everything from strategy formulation to the establishment of new services and functions.
- Formulation of marketing plans to expand service usage with financial group companies including PayPay Bank, PayPay Securities, and PayPay Insurance.
- Formulation of marketing plans to promote healthy use in the credit finance area of PayPay Card.
- Planning of marketing plans in line with new service and new function release plans, from progress management to GTM preparation including promotions and campaigns.
- Implementation of improvement activities by cycling through planning ⇒ execution ⇒ analysis to ensure the penetration of financial business.
- Promotion of AI collaboration to streamline and automate these activities using AI.
