Job Summary
We are looking for a Payroll Manager to join our Accounting & Reporting team. This role is an opportunity for a payroll professional who wants to combine their expertise in payroll with complimentary accounting responsibilities. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while contributing to the integrity of our financial reporting. In addition to managing our Danish payroll function, you will also be supporting our US payroll function in certain areas. This is a senior role with end-to-end payroll responsibilities, including optimizing manual processes and ensuring data quality.
Must Have
- Collaborate with HR to ensure payroll agency receives necessary information for Danish payroll.
- Support US Payroll Manager on certain processes and during absence.
- Manage month-end closing process for payroll accounting.
- Optimize manual processes related to payroll processing and accounting.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee Master Data.
- Support Head of Accounting & Reporting on complex employee benefits accounting.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for key finance processes and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with Operational Finance Manager on intercompany accounting topics related to employees.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with payroll.
- Strong understanding of Danish payroll laws and regulations.
- Understanding of Accounting standards related to employee benefits.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Good to Have
- Experience with US Payroll.
- Experience with managing an external payroll agency.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems.

We are looking for a Payroll Manager to join our Accounting & Reporting team. This role is an opportunity for a payroll professional who wants to combine their expertise in payroll with complimentary accounting responsibilities. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while contributing to the integrity of our financial reporting. We are currently onboarding an external payroll agency to execute a significant part of the monthly payroll.
In addition to managing our Danish payroll function, you will also be supporting our US payroll function in certain areas.
In this position, you will manage our external payroll agency and collaborate with our HR team to ensure that the payroll agency receives the information needed in due time. The role is anchored in our Accounting & Reporting team and will have certain accounting related responsibilities as further detailed below.
This is a senior role with end-to-end payroll responsibilities. However, as the only Danish payroll team member there are certain hands-on tasks that you are expected to perform, with the ambition to work with our Head of Accounting & Reporting to optimize and automate these hands-on tasks. In addition, you will act as support for our US payroll team. The primary responsibilities are:
- Collaborate with our HR team to ensure that the payroll agency receives the necessary information to process monthly payroll in Denmark
- Support our US Payroll Manager on certain processes and during absence
- Own and manage the month-end closing process relating to payroll accounting
- Optimizing manual processes related to payroll processing and accounting
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee Master Data used for both accounting and payroll purposes
- Support the Head of Accounting & Reporting in complex accounting topics related to employee benefits
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, working closely with other teams to improve processes and controls.
- Develop and maintain documentation for key finance processes and ensure compliance with internal policies and successful Group audits.
- Collaborate with our Operational Finance Manager on intercompany accounting topics related to employees
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with payroll
- Strong understanding of Danish payroll laws and regulations
- Understanding of Accounting standards related to employee benefits
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Preferably - Bonus if you have :
- Experience with US Payroll
- Experience with Managing an external payroll agency
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems
