Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company. Working at Nine, you’ll have access to a unique range of experiences and opportunities, helping drive the success of the country’s most trusted television, radio, digital and publishing brands.
Our content reaches almost every Australian - meaning what we do has real impact. We bring people together, celebrate the big moments, and capture the everyday ones.
Some of our most beloved brands have been part of Australian life for generations, and others - new on the scene - have already found their place firmly in our lives. We’re evolving and we need people like you to bring new ideas, innovate and make your mark.
- You'll own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for features on our commercial platforms. This means you'll be responsible for everything from gathering detailed requirements and writing user stories to launching and optimizing the product post-launch. You'll drive agile development cycles, working directly with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
- You will provide critical input into the product roadmap for our commercial platforms, especially our Order and Traffic Management System (OTMS). By actively contributing to the overall strategy and vision, you'll identify priorities, dependencies, and risks while also bringing valuable insights from stakeholders, market trends, and competitive analysis to strategic discussions.
- You will be the central point of contact for all project updates and progress, ensuring transparent and consistent communication. This role requires building strong relationships with commercial stakeholders including sales, ad ops, and finance to truly understand their needs and pain points, guaranteeing that our solutions meet their evolving requirements.
- You will define clear and actionable product requirements by creating user stories and acceptance criteria. A key part of your role will be to manage and prioritize the product backlog and facilitate grooming sessions to ensure our development efforts are always aligned with business goals.
- Your responsibility extends beyond launch. You will define key metrics, monitor product performance, and analyse data to identify areas for iterative improvement. This focus on post-launch performance is crucial for ensuring our products consistently deliver the expected value to the business and our users.
- We're looking for a seasoned Product Manager with a minimum of 6 years of experience successfully delivering software products. You must have a strong track record of managing complex product backlogs and driving efficient execution in an agile environment, turning strategic vision into market-ready features.
- You have hands-on experience with commercial and enterprise B2B platforms such as Order Management Systems (OMS), CRM, Ad Serving Platforms, or similar business software. Your knowledge of these systems will be key to understanding our customers and building impactful solutions.
- While grounded in day-to-day execution, you're also a strategic thinker who can connect high-level business goals to actionable product initiatives. You're an exceptional communicator who can articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you have a proven ability to influence and align diverse teams toward a common goal.
- You possess a solid technical foundation, including a strong understanding of software development processes, APIs, and system integrations. Your approach to decision-making is data-driven, using strong analytical and problem-solving skills to measure impact and guide product direction.
- You’re a true team player who thrives on collaboration. You're adept at working within cross-functional teams (including engineering, design, sales, and operations) to foster a positive and productive environment. You have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
