Production Unit Manager - F/H

Thales is seeking a Back-End Production Unit Manager in Moirans, France. This role involves leading a team of approximately 60 individuals responsible for the production and industrialization of new and after-sales service (SAV) digital detectors for medical applications. Key responsibilities include ensuring production plan adherence, driving industrial performance, implementing Lean methodologies, managing new product industrialization, and overseeing budgets. The ideal candidate will have experience in production management, strong leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

As part of a replacement, we are looking for our future Back-End Production Manager - F/H.

The Back-End activity is responsible for production and industrialization activities (assembly and testing of new and SAV digital detectors for medical use).

The team currently consists of about 60 people (3 direct managers, covering approximately 45 operators and 12 technicians/engineers).

As Back-End Production Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the team's resources and its scope and developing the teams towards greater autonomy, efficiency, and skills.
• Ensuring the production plan is met (new and SAV) by anticipating industrial risks in the production unit, while respecting the quality and reliability of delivered products, and the safety of people.
• Ensuring industrial performance, and deploying Lean approaches or continuous improvement in your sector.
• Driving the competitiveness of your production unit's organization in coherence with the Industrial strategy.
• Leading the industrialization of new processes/new products, in conjunction with Engineering milestones, as well as methods activities related to the unit.
• Defining and monitoring budgets (expenses, investments, resources, range times), managing and optimizing industrial means and skills in line with future needs.

Your profile

• Are you an engineer or equivalent, do you have experience in production management?
• Do you know Production with Continuous Improvement operation, and Lean Manufacturing and its tools?
• You are recognized daily for:
