Job Summary
This Project Manager role at Thales in Ditzingen involves leading customer interactions, negotiating contract amendments, and managing change requests. Must Have
- Lead customer interactions for the project via direct customer interface.
- Negotiate in collaboration with the sales manager the amendments in the scopes of the contract in keeping with company rules and process and handle change requests.
- Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with decision-makers across functional organizations (Engineering (SW/HW/System), Procurement, Supply Chain /Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics and Finance) to build and continuously improve process to ensure high quality, on-time delivery and ownership/accountability.
- By respecting the cost objective (assigned costs) and thus the margin, while trying constantly to reduce the costs, to manage the risks with caution and to take advantage of internal and external opportunities.
- Drive the project to ensure customer satisfaction by meeting deadlines, quality specifications, and project profitability and Staffing, budget and plans defining for all aspects of the program, the timetable and workload, risks and opportunities.
- Provide visibility of the project progress, making sure to obtain the necessary resources and identifying/resolving issues.
- Once a month, prepare program dashboards and present program status during program review meetings.
- Oversee project risks and related action plans.
- Focus on precise planning, forecast, continuous risk and contingency management, change management and timely escalation.
- Organize the team and delegate the tasks to the individuals in charge of the work packages.
- Manage the financial aspects of projects including costs, margin, cash and revenue, the project scope and schedule.
- Ability to manage programs in a matrixed and ambiguous environment.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant project management work experience (Program Management, Engineering Management) by managing complex projects in matrix organisations.
- Excellent communication skills to manage complex stakeholder structures including customers.
- IPMA Certification or equivalent certification from a recognized organization.

- IPMA Certification or equivalent certification from a recognized organization
