Job Summary
Micron Technology is seeking a Real-time Defect Analysis Process Manager to lead an HVM team. This role involves using next-generation defect detection equipment and processes to identify and resolve issues, accelerating learning cycles, reducing inline defectivity, and coordinating with global manufacturing facilities. The manager will develop inspection technology roadmaps, manage projects, mentor the team in process analysis and anomaly detection, and drive continuous improvement. The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a 300mm semiconductor environment and strong leadership skills.
Must Have
- Lead HVM team in defect detection and issue resolution.

- 5+ years in RDA, HVM, TD, or 300mm semiconductor.
- 5+ years in semiconductor fabrication process.
- Effective English communication.
- Ability to work across time zones.

- Solid knowledge of semiconductor optical and electron beam inspection methods and technologies.
- Experience with investigation of process anomalies, root cause analysis, data manipulation, and correlations.

We are excited to announce an opening for a Real-time Defect Analysis Process Manager at Micron who will lead an HVM team in the use of next-generation defect detection equipment and processes to identify and solve issues. The goal of this position is to accelerate cycles of learning, run a team to reduce inline defectivity, coordinate with overseas manufacturing facilities for alignment, transfer technology to HVM and ensure RDA has inline visibility to defects to prevent excursion.
As the RDA Process Manager, your leadership and innovation will have the ability to impact the team globally. You and your team will be responsible to support experimentation, data analysis, baseline health metrics, and systematic and random defect improvement through partnering with others in HVM global manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop clear metrics for program health and communicate in an effective manor to set program priorities.
- Build and improve upon detection techniques and identify new ways to use existing tools in order to identify relevant process issues
- Develop inspection technology roadmaps to drive our internal and external partners enabling a clear path to future advanced memory needs
- Manage projects internal to your team and across functional areas
- Mentor your team in analyzing process flows looking for defect anomalies and quarantining process tools that are out of control.
- Create an environment of continuous improvement process (CIP) demeanor, looking for ways to improve operations, and how to make a difference today!
- Encourage a safe work environment.
- Direct your team to recognize, identify, and raise awareness of process anomalies.
- Active participation in technical meetings and then synthesize from it new opportunities or novel approaches
- Collaborate with the global network to develop best known methods and maintain alignment between sites
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5+ year experience working within the RDA, HVM or TD teams or relevant working experience in a 300mm semiconductor environment
- Experienced leader with 5+ direct reports
- Minimum 5 year of experience in semiconductor fabrication process area, including tool sets, process mechanism, etc.
- Effective English communication skills
- Ability to work across time zones as needed
