Job Summary

The PMO Manager supports project and program managers in planning, coordination, and implementation of projects, ensuring smooth processes, structured communication, deadline tracking, and documentation. The role involves optimizing business processes using methods like review preparation and workshops, managing contracts for public clients, and acting as a Key User for Business Intelligence. They also advise on critical project situations, manage solution-finding processes, support bid processes including risk management and workload estimates, and identify and assess project risks.

Must Have

  • Support project and program managers in planning, coordination, and implementation of projects
  • Ensure smooth processes, structured communication, deadline tracking, and documentation
  • Actively support the optimization of business processes using methods like review preparation, Good Practice Transfers, and workshops
  • Responsible for contract management of (maintenance) framework agreements with public clients
  • Assume the role of Key User in Business Intelligence
  • Advise on critical project situations, manage the solution-finding process
  • Support the bid process up to offer submission (including Risk Management and Workload Estimates)
  • Identify and assess risks in the project lifecycle and derive actions
  • Promote potential, deliver ideas for Good Practices, and advise on change management
  • Successfully completed studies (e.g., business/engineering, economics, business informatics) or comparable training
  • Relevant experience in bid, project, and PMO management (ideally in the defense sector), including Lessons Learned, Risk & Opportunity, and Stakeholder Management
  • Economic thinking and acting
  • Experience in workload and resource planning
  • Proficient in IT applications (especially Excel, JIRA)
  • High degree of independence, creativity, flexibility, and assumption of personal responsibility
  • Strong service provider mentality
  • Team player, enjoys communication, and ability to structure complex issues simply
  • Very good German and English language skills

Your Mission as PMO Manager:

  • Support project leaders and program managers in planning, coordination, and implementation of projects, ensuring smooth processes and contributing to structured communication, deadline tracking, and documentation.
  • You actively support the optimization of business processes, applying methods such as review preparation, Good Practice Transfers, and workshops (e.g., target vision).
  • Responsibility for contract management of (maintenance) framework agreements with public clients and assuming the role of Key User in Business Intelligence.
  • You advise on critical project situations, manage the solution-finding process, and support the bid process up to offer submission (including Risk Management and Workload Estimates).
  • Identification and assessment of risks in the project lifecycle and derivation of actions; promotion of potential, delivery of ideas for Good Practices, and advice on change management.
