Job Summary

The main task of the Program Manager will be to cooperate and provide support to the Program Director and other Thales managers involved in the MIECZNIK project. This includes daily communication and cooperation with the Client, participating in project meetings and reviews, collaborating with Thales Business Lines for necessary project actions (especially supporting technical teams during work on the vessel), verifying and planning the local project budget and costs, and providing administrative support for compliance with trade regulations in the defense sector.

Must Have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in navy, defense, or maritime economy
  • Professional experience in defense, navy, or shipbuilding industry
  • Fluent English and Polish (spoken and written)
  • Readiness to work in a shipyard environment
  • Knowledge of construction and operation of marine weapon systems
  • Independence, proactivity, and problem-solving orientation
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a navy/defense environment
  • Focus on continuous learning and development

Job Description

The main task of the Program Manager will be to cooperate and provide support to the Program Director and other Thales managers operating within the MIECZNIK project in all matters concerning this undertaking, and in particular:

  • daily communication and cooperation with the Client, including obtaining feedback on the status of tasks and actions taken;
  • participation in meetings and project reviews with the Client, end-user, and in internal reviews at Thales;
  • cooperation with responsible persons in Thales Business Lines to undertake necessary actions related to the project (in particular, supporting technical teams during work on the vessel in terms of cooperation with other project participants);
  • cooperation with the project and financial team to verify and plan the local project budget and costs;
  • administrative support in complying with trade/commercial compliance regulations in the defense sector.

Our requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in: navy, defense, maritime economy; welcome: operation of marine weapon systems;
  • Professional experience in the same or similar position in the area of: defense, navy, shipbuilding industry;
  • Fluent knowledge of English and Polish, spoken and written;
  • Readiness to participate in work in a shipyard environment (preparations for commissioning and port trials of marine systems);
  • Knowledge of the construction and operation of marine weapon systems;
  • Independence, proactivity in action and problem-solving orientation;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a navy/defense environment;
  • Focus on continuous learning and development.
