Job Description

The PT&V Technician executes product testing for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) per test plans, ensuring accurate setup, data collection, and reporting. This role involves full lifecycle product test ownership, direct interaction with product engineers for compliance, and maintaining communication with validation engineering. The technician must be process-oriented, capable of independent problem-solving, and comfortable in a multi-shift environment, ensuring a clean and safe workspace.
Good To Have:
  • Familiarity with test equipment: i.e. DMM (Digital Mulitmeter), ARB (Arbitrary Waveform Generator), Power Supply, oscilloscopes, generators, and etc.

Must Have:
  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automotive Technology or related technical discipline OR High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-5+ years of experience in Electronics Test Technician role
  • EMC validation test operation/execution
  • Full life cycle product test ownership
  • Ensuring accurate test reporting
  • Communication to EMC Test Engineering for approval/notification
  • Direct interaction with product engineers to ensure compliance
  • Maintaining open line of communication with validation engineering to ensure performance of the product
  • Maintaining a clean/safe work environment/area
  • Comfortable working in multi shift environment and the information sharing required to ensure accurate and timely completion between different people working on the same projects
  • Process Oriented
  • Utilize prior knowledgebase and sound logic to come to easily defendable conclusions/solutions, and independently drive the project to completion

About this Position

The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test Technician executes the actual product testing per a test plan. The technician is responsible for an accurate test set-up, data collection, and data reporting.

Responsibilities and Duties

The technician will be testing products from multiple product lines before they go to market. Selected individuals must be: Responsibilities include:

  • EMC validation test operation/execution.
  • Full life cycle product test ownership.
  • Ensuring accurate test reporting.
  • Communication to EMC Test Engineering for approval/notification.
  • Direct interaction with product engineers to ensure compliance.
  • Maintaining open line of communication with validation engineering to ensure performance of the product.

Need to Haves (Basic Qualifications)
