Job Description

The RTR Accounting Specialist is responsible for executing accounting and period-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This role involves reviewing account balances, implementing accounting policies, analyzing financial data for improvements, and collaborating with peer groups. The specialist will also draft financial reports for management and interact with stakeholders, tracking performance to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Must Have:
  • Help in the execution of accounting and period-end closing processes
  • Review all account balances to ensure correctness and appropriate reconciliations
  • Implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with functional peer groups for effective communication and coordination
  • Help to draft detailed financial reports and presentations for management
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates and recommendations
  • Track the performance of accounting processes
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration OR Vocational Education or equivalent
  • No prior experience required with Bachelor's Degree OR minimum 4 years of experience with Vocational Education

Job Responsibilities:

  • Helps in the execution of accounting and period-end closing processes, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on time and ensures all relevant internal controls are in place and effective.
  • Reviews all account balances to ensure they are correctly held and supported by appropriate reconciliations and documentation, implementing corrective actions as needed to address any discrepancies, working under general supervision.
  • Implements accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance, recommending changes to unit or sub-unit policies to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Analyzes financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement, using analytical skills to make informed recommendations for new procedures and processes.
  • Collaborates with functional peer groups to ensure effective communication and coordination, facilitating cooperation and knowledge sharing across teams to achieve common goals.
  • Helps to draft detailed financial reports and presentations for management, summarizing key findings and providing actionable insights, ensuring reports are accurate, comprehensive, and easy to understand.
  • Interacts with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on financial status, report findings, and offer recommendations, ensuring clear and concise communication to facilitate understanding and action.
  • Tracks the performance of accounting processes, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on time, identifying areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Minimum required Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration OR Vocational Education or equivalent.

Minimum required Experience:

No prior experience required with Bachelor's Degree OR minimum 4 years of experience with Vocational Education in areas such as Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
