World Relief is seeking an Economic Empowerment Intern for the Sacramento Economic Empowerment Internship (Winter/Spring 2025). The Economic Empowerment department prepares refugees and immigrants for work through job placement, workplace education, financial literacy training, and career counseling. The intern will provide employment services, including job readiness training, transportation support, job placement, and retention assistance to refugees entering the U.S. workforce. They will also provide career pathway support to advance their careers and enable self-sufficiency and financial stability through employment. The internship is a limited-term position until May 28, 2025.

POSITION SUMMARY:

World Relief seeks an Economic Empowerment Intern for the Sacramento Economic Empowerment Internship (Winter/Spring 2025). The Economic Empowerment department works to prepare refugees and immigrants for work through job placement, workplace education, financial literacy training, and ongoing career counseling. The team partners with a network of employers who value the experiences of immigrants and the skills they bring, resulting in a diverse, strong, and vibrant workforce.

This is a limited-term internship until May 28, 2025.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide employment services to assist refugees to enter the U.S. workforce by providing job readiness training, transportation support, and job placement and retention assistance.
Provide support to Refugees through the career pathways programs to advance their careers in the U.S. This support enables ser-sufficiency and financial stability through employment.
