Job Summary
The Senior Business Analyst will own the end-to-end lifecycle of requirements across insurance core modules, acting as a liaison between business, product, and technical teams. Responsibilities include translating business needs into system functionalities, analyzing workflows, and recommending enhancements. The role involves collaborating with QA for test coverage, preparing documentation like BRDs and User Stories, and assisting with user training and adoption. Candidates need 10+ years in P&C Insurance, hands-on experience with Policy, Billing, and Claim Centers, and strong knowledge of personal insurance lines and process modeling.
Must Have
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of requirements — including elicitation, documentation, validation, and change control across insurance core modules.
- Act as a liaison between business users, product owners, and technical teams to ensure business needs are clearly captured and understood.
- Translate and validate business requirements into system functionalities, ensuring alignment with product capabilities.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of current insurance workflows, identify process gaps, and recommend enhancements that align with best practices.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure adequate test coverage for business requirements, participate in defect triage, and validate fixes from a business perspective.
- Prepare and maintain high-quality documentation such as BRDs, User Stories, Use Cases, and RTMs (Requirement Traceability Matrices).
- Assist in user training activities, change impact assessments, and contribute to user adoption efforts post Go-Live.
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in P&C Insurance domain.
- Hands-on experience with Insurance modules (Policy Center, Billing Center, Claim Center).
- In-depth understanding of Personal Auto, Watercraft, and Umbrella Insurance lines.
- Strong knowledge of business process modeling, use case development, and requirement traceability.
- Experience in supporting SIT/UAT testing phases and working closely with QA teams.
Good to Have
- Experience in Insurance cots platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco etc.
