This role involves improving global oral health by leading breakthrough innovations in the oral healthcare category. The Senior Consumer Marketing Manager will define, develop, and introduce new propositions, translating market insights into winning concepts and strategic product roadmaps. Responsibilities include managing the innovation process from idea to launch, developing global go-to-market plans, and ensuring commercial success of the product portfolio. The role requires strong analytical skills and collaboration with R&D, agencies, and commercial organizations.
Must have:

  • Translate market, consumer, dental professional, and competitive analyses into winning concepts.
  • Integrate new concepts into a strategic product roadmap.
  • Deliver innovation to market via the innovation product development process.
  • Develop Global Go-to-Market planning for successful launch.
  • Manage product portfolio and ensure commercial success (sales, margin, market share).
  • Responsible for lifecycle management and market readiness.
  • Analyze and synthesize data for data-driven decision making.
  • Interact with R&D, agencies, MarComm, Market Intelligence, Finance, and Commercial Organizations.
  • MBA qualified in relevant subject area.
  • 8+ years of upstream and downstream marketing experience in global branded FMCG or durable consumer goods.
  • Experience with new product development and introductions.
  • Experience in consumer market research and market intelligence.
  • Understanding of retail market dynamics.
  • Strong conceptual thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
  • Ability to develop realistic and comprehensive Business Cases.
  • Experience in consumer health/lifestyle products with a data and consumer driven approach.
  • Fluent English.

Do you have a deep understanding of source of business, consumer need spaces, innovation framework, portfolio strategy & management, marketing planning and new product launches? Come join us as Senior Consumer Marketing Manager Power Toothbrushes, in the global Philips Sonicare Oral Healthcare business. You will enter the fast-paced, multinational environment of Philips Personal Health in the global Headquarters in Amsterdam Zuid.

You are part of a team of (sub) category dedicated marketing professionals reporting directly into the Consumer Marketing Director responsible for global Power Toothbrush portfolio. The team brings a wealth of international experience: your peers have background in various parts of the ‘value chain’ bringing experience in ‘upstream’ marketing as well as ‘downstream’ experience e.g. from working in sales organizations or market communication. You help coaching marketing managers and marketing interns on the job and contribute to their professional development.

Your role:

  • Drive the definition, development and introduction of new oral healthcare propositions that bring our consumers a superior performance and product experience.
  • Translate in-depth market, consumer, dental professional and competitive analyses into winning concepts by defining – market specific - product positioning.
  • Integrate these new concepts into a strategic product roadmap (including services, software and clinical claims roadmaps) that uniquely addresses the needs of consumers, health care professionals and providers in Philips Personal Health markets.
  • Deliver innovation to the market via the innovation product development process, from idea to product introduction, including creating and maintaining a business case.
  • Develop Global Go-to-Market planning for a successful launch of the innovations in the lead markets from pricing strategy, distribution strategy to Marketing Communication strategy.
  • Managing own product portfolio and ensure commercial success (sales, margin, market share, etc.)
  • Responsible for lifecycle management and market readiness. Ensure completion of appropriate deliverables (feature descriptions, value propositions, costing/pricing/quoting materials, etc.)
  • Analyze and synthesize data to deliver actionable, impactful and visual recommendations to enable data-driven decision making.
  • Interact with all associated disciplines, including R&D departments, internal and external agencies, MarComm, Market Intelligence, Finance and the Commercial Organizations of key lead markets

You're the right fit if:

  • MBA qualified in a relevant subject area (for example business/strategic marketing, economics)
  • 8+ years of upstream and downstream marketing experience in global branded FMCG or durable consumer goods including new product introductions and life cycle management in a global or regional context. You have gained your experience from a similar global position driving marketing and innovation plans across markets.
  • Experience with NPDs new product development and new product introductions.
  • Experience of consumer market research and market intelligence
  • Understanding of retail market dynamics, having dealt with product promotions, trade marketing, shopper marketing activations, product launches and/or marketing communications to drive business results and growth.
  • Your conceptual thinking, organizational and communication skills allow you to influence and motivate others
  • Your strong drive and advanced ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
  • Your ability to develop realistic and comprehensive Business Cases.
  • Your experience in consumer health/ lifestyle products, and a data and consumer driven approach allows you to identify new opportunities and translate them into winning propositions.
  • You are naturally curious with a proactive mindset, who strives for continuous improvement
  • You can analyze and synthesize data to drive business decisions.
  • International mindset and the ability to talk efficiently to different people in different countries.
  • Fluent English; other languages are a plus
