Job Summary

2K is seeking a Senior Manager, Localization Coordination to lead a talented North America-based team of Localization Coordinators. This role is pivotal to 2K's Global Localization 2.0 strategy, focusing on reshaping language support throughout the game development lifecycle. The manager will collaborate with local and regional stakeholders, implement modern localization systems and best practices, and ensure high-quality localized experiences. This high-visibility, high-impact leadership position emphasizes operational excellence, continuous improvement, and fostering a world-class localization support model.

Must Have

  • Lead and develop a team of approximately 12 Localization Coordinators
  • Provide tactical leadership across all facets of the Localization Coordination function
  • Identify localization gaps and opportunities in large-scale projects
  • Define goals, KPIs, and feedback systems for team performance
  • Collaborate with leaders in Production, Engineering, QA, and Publishing to streamline workflows
  • Identify and implement impactful improvements to processes, systems, or team practices
  • Serve as the voice of language-specific localization efforts to North American game teams
  • Contribute to departmental strategies around automation, vendor collaboration, certification tracking, and internationalization readiness
  • 7+ years of experience in localization, production operations, QA, or game development
  • 2-3 years in a leadership or management role
  • Experience managing teams of seasoned professionals across languages, regions, or specialties
  • Strong grasp of localization workflows, i18n fundamentals, LQA, and platform certification standards
  • Demonstrated ability to identify gaps, streamline operations, and champion continuous improvement
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, TMS, CAT platforms, CMS, and localization dashboards
  • Fluency in English

ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of its evolving localization strategy, 2K is investing in a new leadership role to help reshape how language support operates across our game development lifecycle. We’re looking for a Senior Manager to lead a talented North America–based team of Localization Coordinators—each representing key languages and regions in our portfolio.

You’ll be at the forefront of Global Loc 2.0 at 2K, collaborating with local and regional stakeholders on a variety of day-to-day operations, implementing and scaling modern localization systems and best practices, and ensuring that our localized experiences hit the mark—every time. With a team of linguistic professionals under your guidance, you'll drive alignment, spark innovation, and help build a world-class localization support model that binds our global localization teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead & Inspire: Manage and develop a team of ~12 Localization Coordinators, each supporting language-specific localization operations and regional partners
  • Own the Day-to-Day: Provide tactical leadership across all facets of the Localization Coordination function—ensuring operational excellence, accountability, and cross-team alignment
  • Contribute to Complex Initiatives: Identify localization gaps and opportunities in large-scale projects that cut across development, publishing, engineering, FQA, and external partners—and propose and drive solutions
  • Elevate the Function: Define goals, KPIs, and feedback systems to build a high-performing, proactive team that thrives in fast-paced environments
  • Shape the Pipeline: Collaborate with leaders in Production, Engineering, QA, and Publishing to streamline workflows, tooling, and localization-readiness across games
  • Level Up Our Systems: Identify and implement impactful improvements to processes, systems, or team practices that enhance quality, speed, and scalability
  • Represent & Advocate: Serve as the voice of language-specific localization efforts to North American game teams—bridging strategy and delivery with clarity and confidence
  • Champion Best Practices: Contribute to departmental strategies around automation, vendor collaboration, certification tracking, and internationalization readiness
  • Think Beyond the Now: Support long-term planning and talent development as Global Localization continues to evolve and expand

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 7+ years of experience in localization, production operations, QA, or game development—with 2–3 years in a leadership or management role
  • Experience managing teams of seasoned professionals across languages, regions, or specialties
  • Proven success running complex, cross-functional projects with measurable outcomes
  • Strong grasp of localization workflows, i18n fundamentals, LQA, and platform certification standards
  • Demonstrated ability to identify gaps, streamline operations, and champion continuous improvement
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, TMS, CAT platforms, CMS, and localization dashboards
  • Fluency in English required; additional language skills are a strong advantage
  • Passion for global player experiences, cultural nuance, and scalable localization systems
