Job Description

The Senior Performance Director inspires and influences transformative digital outcomes for clients, guiding multi-disciplinary projects with clarity and strategic foresight. This role focuses on unlocking potential in teams and clients, shaping strategies for growth and innovation. You will champion collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, mentoring others and navigating ambiguity. The role ensures initiatives align with the bigger picture, delivering meaningful progress and shaping the future of clients, team, and agency.

  • Established experience in Digital Activation/Performance (Search, Social, Programmatic)
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft Office programmes, especially PowerPoint and Excel

As Sr Performance Director, you are entrusted with shaping the future of our clients, our team and our agency. You influence with purpose, clarity and conviction; balancing strategic foresight with operational excellence. Your impact will be measured across four key pillars: 1. Drive Client and Business Growth 2. Grow and Future-Proof Team Capability 3. Ensure Operational and Financial Excellence 4. Shape Team and Agency Culture

Your scope will include:

• Spearhead with vision. Craft 6–12-month strategic growth plans that inspire action and define the next big bets for our clients. Your plans should be bold, clear and built to deliver.

• Deliver work that matters. Champion ideas that earn their place in client boardrooms and industry case studies. Each year, you’ll drive at least three standout initiatives that showcase our thinking and implementation.

• Be the recommended voice. Build senior client relationships rooted in proactive partnership and strategic influence. Your presence should shape their planning cycles and elevate our agency’s role.

• Coach with intent. You are a mentor, a guide and a culture-setter. You address objections swiftly, reinforce positive behaviours and create space for growth.

• Balance delivery with development. Oversee team capacity to ensure we meet client requests while educating talent. You make room for learning without compromising performance.

• Champion craft. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by deepening expertise and encouragement

Drive discipline. Set clear priorities and ensure projects progress at the right pace. You eliminate duplication, reduce delays and keep teams focused on high-impact work.

• Uphold financial hygiene. Ensure compliance, minimise overdue debt and maintain commercial rigour across your accounts.

• Unlock growth. Identify and activate new revenue opportunities through a good knowledge of client obstacles and what Publicis products and services can help solve.

• Influence by example. Your influence sets the tone. You create a culture of accountability, curiosity and care. Your people feel empowered to do their finest work.

• Influence beyond the team. Build strong relationships with media owners and agency partners to deliver greater value for clients and elevate our collective impact.

• Be a culture carrier. You don’t just oversee performance; you shape the environment where performance thrives.

What type of person will be successful in this role:

  • Experience overseeing direct report(s), clients, and media campaigns.
  • Ideally you have worked within an agency environment on high-value clients.
  • Bold, comfortable, and professional when communicating with clients and third parties
  • Established experience in Digital Activation/Performance (Search, Social, Programmatic)
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft Office programmes, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-assured, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-changing role
  • Your organisational prowess will be the key to assisting our team and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Able to work as part of a larger team and build relationships
  • Team-oriented and keen for others to succeed with you
  • Contribute positively to performance team WIPs and digital forums
