(Senior) Product Compliance Manager

Job Summary

Our client is a fast-growing consumer technology company focused on active entertainment. Their flagship product is an interactive motion-driven play system that uses body movement to create fun and active experiences for all ages. Designed with privacy and safety at its core, the platform supports year-round indoor activity and has achieved certifications for child safety and data protection compliance. The (Senior) Product Compliance Manager will own global market access and compliance strategy for hardware and accessories, define regulatory pathways, manage testing labs, and drive certification activities.

Must Have

  • Own global market access and compliance strategy for hardware and accessories across target regions.
  • Define regulatory pathways and timelines for current and future markets, identifying risks and mitigation plans.
  • Maintain a comprehensive regulatory requirements matrix per product and market (standards, directives, schemes).
  • Manage relationships with accredited testing labs and certification bodies, including scope, quotations, scheduling, and issue resolution.
  • Drive pre-compliance and full certification activities end-to-end.
  • Coordinate firmware and hardware change controls with manufacturing partners and trigger required re-testing or documentation updates.
  • Establish compliance governance cadence, including post-market surveillance, reporting, and decision tracking.
  • 10+ years of regulatory compliance experience for consumer electronics, IoT, gaming, or AV hardware.
  • Experience supporting retail/distribution channels in the US, UK, and EU.
  • Hands-on experience leading EMC, RF, and safety testing with accredited labs.
  • Working knowledge of CE/UKCA, FCC/ISED, and at least one APAC regulatory scheme.
  • Familiarity with RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Battery regulations.
  • Experience managing compliance with JDM/ODM partners through design changes and component substitutions.
  • Strong documentation skills: technical files, declarations, test plans, labeling, and post-market processes.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin.

Good to Have

  • Background in EE/ME, RF, EMC, or product safety engineering.
  • Experience with GDPR, COPPA, or similar privacy compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with Bluetooth or HDMI certifications.
  • Experience with connected devices that include cameras, microphones, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth.
  • Experience working with toys or child-focused consumer devices.
