Job Summary

Cognite is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its Global Customer Success (GCS) team in Bengaluru. This role involves leading digital transformation projects for customers, leveraging Cognite's AI and data platforms. The Project Manager will collaborate with Data Scientists, Solution Architects, and Domain Experts to design and operationalize digital solutions, manage project budgets, and serve as a key link between customers and Cognite's engineering teams. The position supports projects in MENA and SEA, reporting to the EMEA office.

Must Have

  • Spearhead teams driving customers' digital transformations, liberating and maximizing the value of their data.
  • Lead projects, some co-lead or lead by partners.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Solution Architects, and Domain Experts to design, develop, and operationalize digital solutions.
  • Serve as a crucial link between customers and Cognite's engineering and product management teams.
  • Coordinate execution and communicate with senior management on status, risks, and changes.
  • Manage budget.
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Math, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in SaaS project management or software at global scale.
  • Familiarity with project management tools: JIRA, Confluence, Azure Devops, Trello, MIRO.
  • Passion for driving change and creating success for customers, with multiple stakeholders and partners involved.
  • Proven track record of effectively identifying and mitigating project risks.
  • Engage stakeholders at various levels.
  • Implement robust governance frameworks to ensure project success and compliance.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, build strong teams, and cultivate customer and partner relationships.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous working environment, yet be able to add structure to deliveries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group leadership and executive presentations.
  • Good communication skills, ability to work with demanding Middle East customers.
  • Ability to navigate stakeholder landscapes.
  • Willingness to travel.

  • Familiarity with IoT, cloud solutions, or machine learning models.
  • Previous experience supporting Machine Learning projects.
  • Exposure to AI/ML Applications.
  • Manufacturing/Oil and Gas background.

About the role

The Project Manager team is part of Cognite's Global Customer Success (GCS). GCS has offices in Austin, Houston, Oslo, Tokyo, and Bengaluru, uniting Project Managers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Solution Architects. Specializing in Oil and Gas, Power, and Manufacturing, we deliver scalable projects with our flagship product, CDF, unlocking hidden data to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability in heavy asset industries. This role reports to the EMEA (Oslo) office, supporting projects in MENA and SEA.

How you will create impact

  • As a Project Manager at Cognite, you will spearhead teams driving our customers' digital transformations, liberating and maximising the value of their data. In this role, initiative and creative problem-solving are key. You will lead projects, some co-lead or lead buy partners while collaborating with Data Scientists, Solution Architects, and Domain Experts to design, develop, and operationalise digital solutions across various industries.
  • You will serving as a crucial link between customers and Cognite's engineering and product management teams, your ability to communicate effectively, solve complex problems, and comprehend intricate technology is paramount.
  • You will be coordinating execution, and communicating with senior management on status, risks, and changes and manage budget.

What you will bring

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Math, ccor a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Saas project management or software at global scale
  • Familiarity with following project management tools: JIRA, Confluence, Azure Devops, Trello and MIRO (Design thinking workshops) consulting preferably within oil and gas or manufacturing domain.
  • Passion for driving change and creating success for customers, with multiple stakeholders and partners involved.
  • Proven track record of effectively identifying and mitigating project risks, engaging stakeholders at various levels, and implementing robust governance frameworks to ensure project success and compliance
  • Proven ability to take initiative, build strong teams, and cultivate customer and partner relationships.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous working environment, yet be able to add structure to our deliveries.
  • Familiarity with IoT, cloud solutions, or machine learning models is a plus.
  • Ability to navigate stakeholder landscapes.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Previous experience supporting Machine Learning projects and exposure to AI/ML Applications is an adavantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group leadership and executive presentations
