Job Description

As a Senior Sales Analytics Analyst at GitLab, you will be responsible for leading data and analytics projects, conducting in-depth analyses, and contributing to cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving customer service. You will collaborate closely with teams such as Sales Strategy, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, and Enterprise Data & Analytics. Your key responsibilities include performing complex analyses for company-level priorities, driving global business cadences in partnership with sales leadership, developing and managing executive reporting, and identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency. You will also work with Revenue Operations, Marketing, Product, and Finance teams to develop and implement global initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and attention to detail, capable of thriving in a fully remote environment.
Must have:
  • Experience in sales analytics, preferably in B2B SaaS.
  • Expertise with BI tools, especially Tableau.
  • Experience with SQL and Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Strong analytical skills, creativity in problem-solving, and keen business sense.
  • Excellent communication skills effective across all levels of management.
Good to have:
  • Experience using GitLab is a plus.

In this role as a Senior Analyst on our Sales Analytics team, you will have the opportunity to own business-level data and analytics projects, and lead deep-dive analyses. You will contribute to cross-functional initiatives to better serve Gitlab customers, and partner closely with Sales Strategy, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, and Enterprise Data & Analytics teams.

What you’ll do  

  • Conduct complex analyses for company-level priorities; identify insights and clearly communicate findings
  • Drive global business cadences in partnership with Sales leadership and the go-to-market organization. Experience with sales forecasting for a SaaS company.
  • Develop and manage executive reporting 
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency
  • Partner with Revenue Operations, Marketing, Product, and Finance teams to identify and develop global initiatives 

What you’ll bring 

  • Sales analytics experience, preference for B2B SaaS, Revenue Strategy and Ops, Business Intelligence/Analytics, or Management Consulting
  • Expertise with BI tools, especially Tableau
  • Experience with SQL and Excel or Google Sheets
  • Excellent quantitative analytical skills, creativity in problem-solving, and keen business sense.
  • Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail to drive analysis projects  and execution.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills effective across all levels of management
  • Ability to thrive in a fully remote organization
  • Experience using GitLab a plus
