CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Senior Systems Designer to join the Boston studio for Project Orion, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. The role involves designing and implementing game systems that enhance the player experience. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with the Design Director and Systems Design Lead to create engaging game systems, such as progression and crafting. The Senior Systems Designer will also create and manage systems, ensure clear communication of designs through documentation and meetings, mentor junior designers, and act as a subject matter expert to improve the design process.

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Senior Systems Designer to join our studio in Boston to work on Project Orion, the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077. You will contribute to creating worlds through design and its translation into systems enhancing the game’s experience. If you would describe yourself as clever, collaborative, and passionate about role-playing games, then this position is for you!
Daily Responsibilities:
- You will work in close cooperation with our Design Director, Systems Design Lead and other teams to deliver consistent, engaging and player friendly systems into our game.
- Create, develop, implement and manage game systems such as progression, crafting, crowd and population systems and more.
- Ensure that systems designs are clearly communicated to everyone involved in their implementation through documentation, meetings and relationships.
- Mentor and guide junior systems designers.
- Act as a subject matter expert, sharing knowledge with the rest of the teams and improving the process of systems design.
