Sound Engineering Lead

Our technology can be integrated into consumer electronics devices, such as headphones, smartphones, TVs, in-flight entertainment systems and a range of systems and platforms. To help us develop and bring amazing hearing technology to more people around the world, we are looking for a Sound Engineering Lead based in Berlin, Germany.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

- Shape the sound in terms of objective and subjective quality.

- Oversee and steer all audio initiatives together with our hearing scientists, technology partners, product and audio integration team.

- Enable our commercial team and consult our industry partners in the consumer electronics industry on all aspects of sound processing and quality.

- Design new audio algorithms and work with the team on innovative AI-based technology to address better and healthier hearing in audio devices.

- Customize, maintain, and validate our preset creation system for our own and partner’s needs.

- Showcase our latest technology to industry partners.

- Collaborate with Product Management on the product roadmap.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Proven track record in professional or consumer electronic audio domain, media/music streaming, or hearing aid industry.

- Degree in the fields of audio engineering, media technology, psycho-acoustics, audiology or similar.

- Understanding of partner requirements, industry innovations, and trends.

- Ability to assess sound experiences and make decisions from a user-centric perspective, supported by engineering and scientific principles.

- Background in, or willingness to dive into, AI sound processing.

- Basic knowledge of and strong interest in effects of hearing loss on individual perception.

- Ability to design audio algorithms in prototyping environments like Matlab, Audio Weaver, or similar tools.

- Hands-on mentality, cross-disciplinary and product/customer-centric thinking is key.
