Job Summary

This Sourcing Intern role within the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) Team at Cadence involves collaborating with Sourcing managers to implement strategies for best value. Responsibilities include managing project streams, monitoring supplier performance, maintaining accurate supplier data, reconciling invoices, and assisting with competitive bidding processes. The intern will support various Procurement and Contracts projects, gaining experience in a global technology company focused on electronic systems design.

Must Have

  • Commitment from January to May 2026
  • Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California

  • Experience with eProcurement technologies (i.e., Coupa, Ariba, Oracle)

Job Overview:

This role will operate within the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) Team under Sourcing and Contract Management and partner closely with key stakeholders to support projects, as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sourcing managers to meet company objectives as you produce, implement, and support sourcing strategies that ensure best value
  • Manage and prioritize the project stream, working with internal stakeholders to determine project definition and business requirements
  • Manage and monitor supplier performance using meaningful and objective KPI measurements and periodic business reviews
  • Verify and maintain accurate supplier data, including tax and bank information, quotations, and legal agreements
  • Reconcile outstanding invoices and resolve discrepancies through proactive customer/stakeholder engagement
  • Assist competitive bidding using a multi-step sourcing process and utilization of RFx.
  • Support Procurement / Contracts Projects as required.

Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a BS/MS in Procurement/Business Administration or equivalent
  • General understanding of procurement, supplier chain, and supplier management

  • Experience with eProcurement technologies a plus (i.e., Coupa, Ariba, Oracle)
  • Facilitation skills to collaborate with stakeholders and within Global Strategic Sourcing
  • Good teamwork and influencing skills
  • Can commit from January to May 2026
  • Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California, for the duration of the internship
