Must Have

Ness Digital Engineering is looking for a highly skilled Sr Technical Application/Product Architect with deep UI Design and Implementation experience , designing scalable solutions, and utilizing open-source technologies with minimum 10-14 years of experience. This role will be pivotal in leading the architecture and development of enterprise-level applications with a focus on upgrading and enhancing core systems using the latest technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with React UI, Java, Spring, and other modern frameworks, and should have a strong understanding of AI-driven models for code improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision:

  • Define and evangelize the long-term UX vision and UI design strategy for the product portfolio.
  • Conduct and synthesize competitive analysis, user research, and market trends to inform strategic design decisions.
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and C-suite leadership to align design roadmaps with business objectives.
  • Champion a user-centric design culture throughout the organization.

Architecture & Systems Thinking:

  • Architect holistic user journeys, complex information structures, and scalable interaction models.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive Design System (e.g., in Figma) that ensures consistency, efficiency, and quality across all design and engineering teams.
  • Establish and document UX patterns, design principles, and front-end standards.

Hands-On Design & Execution:

  • Translate complex product requirements into simple, elegant, and intuitive user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Design and specify micro-interactions, animations, and state transitions that enhance usability and delight users.
  • Conduct and lead usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and design critiques to iteratively improve the product.
  • Create pixel-perfect UI designs with a keen eye for typography, color, layout, and iconography.

Mentorship & Collaboration:

  • Mentor and elevate the skills of other designers, providing constructive feedback and guiding their professional growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, acting as the primary design authority and bridging the gap between design and engineering.
  • Facilitate workshops and design sprints to align stakeholders and drive consensus.

Qualifications & Experience

Must-Haves:

  • 10+ years of professional UI/UX design experience, with a significant portion in a senior or lead capacity, preferably in a B2B or complex SaaS environment.
  • An exceptional portfolio that demonstrates your expertise in both UX strategy and UI craftsmanship. Your portfolio must showcase your process for solving complex problems, from research and wireframes to final visual design.
  • Mastery of modern design and prototyping tools, primarily Figma.
  • Proven experience in creating, scaling, and maintaining a multi-brand Design System.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Strong ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders of all levels.
  • Experience conducting user research and translating findings into actionable design insights.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience designing for AI-driven products, data visualization, or enterprise-level applications.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate realistic collaboration with engineers.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
