As a Strategic Program Manager (SPM) at Fictiv, you will work with some of the world’s leading enterprises and innovative startups to accelerate their product launches while maintaining the highest quality standards. As a trusted advisor, you will guide customers through all phases of development and manufacturing—from New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) through production readiness and scaling.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Quality, and Fulfillment teams to scope, plan, and execute customer programs, ensuring products are launched on time, within budget, and at the highest quality. You will serve as the primary customer point of contact, ensuring alignment, communication, and exceptional execution across the product lifecycle.
This role is key in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. You will help refine internal processes, strengthen program management discipline, and improve how we deliver value to customers.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Act as the primary customer advocate, building strong relationships and ensuring a high-quality customer experience that drives long-term partnership and loyalty.
- Collaborate with internal teams before and after the sale to ensure on-time project delivery while proactively managing risks and changes throughout the program lifecycle.
- Apply technical expertise in engineering and manufacturing to identify risks early, develop mitigation plans, and manage changes that keep programs on track.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the program, providing insights and guidance to internal teams and customers to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Monitor program milestones and performance, adjusting timelines, resources, or deliverables as needed to meet customer expectations and quality standards.
- Facilitate regular status meetings with customers and internal teams to ensure alignment of program requirements, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and partner with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Desired Traits (Distinguished Skills and Qualities)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing projects or programs in product engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with New Product Development (NPD), New Product Introduction (NPI), APQP and production environments.
- Expertise in more than one manufacturing processes, such as CNC Machining, 3D Printing, Injection Molding, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Die Casting, or Assembly.
- Customer-facing experience leading technical, operational and consulting engagements.
- Strong program management and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage risk, and meet deadlines within a structured framework.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience collaborating across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter with strong business acumen and a customer-first mindset, capable of building strong relationships and influencing without authority.
- Demonstrated focus on process optimization, continuous improvement, service excellence, and driving customer success.
- Passionate about learning, problem-solving, and navigating challenges with resilience.
- Ability to travel 25% to visit customers and manufacturing facilities.

- Proficiency in standard business tools and software systems used in manufacturing operations used for program tracking, communication, and reporting.
- Ability to work at a desk for extended periods.
