Tesla's Direct Procurement team at Gigafactory Berlin is seeking a Supply Chain Management Intern for a 6-month full-time role. The intern will support the powertrain, electronics, and power distribution team, focusing on improving purchasing operational efficiency. Responsibilities include implementing robust processes, automating existing workflows, developing cost reduction strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing weekly/monthly reports, and handling ad-hoc tasks. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in engineering or business management, possesses a strong understanding of vehicle direct parts procurement, and has a proven ability to manage projects effectively. Automotive OEM purchasing experience is preferred.
Must have:
- Pursuing engineering or business degree
- Vehicle direct parts procurement knowledge
- Process improvement skills
- Strong project management skills
- Proficient in English

- Support the team in setting up robust purchasing operations strategy and processes
- Automate existing processes to ensure ease of use going forward
- Work on new cost reduction ideas with the wider team and see them to implementation
- Work with cross functional teams and run weekly progress reporting meetings
- Run monthly costing updates for senior management
- Support the team on day to day Ad hoc activities
- Pursuing a degree within automotive engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or business management
- You live and breathe vehicle direct parts procurement!
- You have a drive to get things done!
- You have a drive to make sure that all assigned programs are under control
- Automotive OEM purchasing experience preferred
- You are proficient in English
