Job Summary

As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be responsible for optimizing the planning and coordination of freight between suppliers and customers, and continuously improving supply chain processes. This role involves managing and optimizing planning independently in a dynamic environment with daily ad-hoc challenges, anticipating market developments, and making data-driven decisions. You will also communicate with stakeholders, make decisions under pressure, identify improvements, and provide professional support.

Job Description

Your mission:

Achieving optimal planning and coordination of freight between suppliers and customers, and continuously improving our supply chain processes.

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Planner to strengthen our planning department. In this role, you are responsible for independently managing and optimizing our planning. Our planning is driven by supply, which creates a dynamic working environment with daily ad-hoc challenges. You know how to think ahead, interpret market developments, and make the right choices based on data. Your insight into under- and oversupply enables you to anticipate changes in the market in a timely manner and coordinate an efficient planning accordingly, including administrative processing.

In addition, your role includes:

  • Planning and coordinating freight between suppliers and customers
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Making well-considered decisions in a dynamic environment
  • Working accurately and customer-focused, even under time pressure
  • Identifying improvement opportunities and contributing to process optimization
  • Supporting and advising stakeholders in a professional and pleasant manner

Job requirements

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Planner with the following profile:

  • HBO-level of work and thinking, preferably with a degree in logistics, supply chain management or a similar field
  • Several years of experience in a transport or supply chain planning function
  • Strong communication skills, a commercial mindset and the ability to make quick and thoughtful decisions
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing
  • Good command of Excel; experience with MS Dynamics is a plus
