Must Have

As an important part of community building in northern Sweden, where some of the most crucial initiatives are taking place, we are now looking for the right person for this important role as Lift Coordinator for one of our complex projects.

About the role

As a Lift Coordinator, you have a central function in the project's production. You work closely with foremen, production teams, the HS team, as well as contractors and subcontractors to create a safe and efficient workflow. Your task is to plan, coordinate, and monitor lifting operations – both heavy and light – within the project in Luleå.

The work includes developing lifting plans, ensuring that all lifts are carried out in accordance with applicable legislation and internal guidelines, and communicating with relevant parties to minimize risks. The role means that you act as a link between personnel and machines to create a safe working environment, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and prevent accidents.

Your responsibilities

  • Planning and execution of lifting operations.
  • Review and handling of drawings and lifting plans.
  • Ensuring that lifts are carried out according to local and national regulations and internal safety instructions.
  • Assisting with technical expertise and making decisions related to lifting technology.
  • Establishing routines for maintenance and regular inspection of lifting equipment.
  • Conducting risk assessments and safety checks before lifts.

Specification of requirements

Your profile

We are looking for a person with several years of practical experience in planning and leading lifting operations in complex environments, preferably within industrial or construction projects and from larger projects. You are structured, solution-oriented, and enjoy close collaboration with production. You are confident in making decisions under pressure and appreciate working in the field.

We would like you to have:

  • Experience with mobile cranes, crawler cranes, and other lifting equipment.
  • Ability to work safely and independently with planning, risk assessment, and coordination of lifts.
  • Good knowledge of legislation and safety regulations.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English (required).
  • Ability to review drawings and develop lifting plans.
  • Experience in planning, work management, and technical decisions.
  • Accuracy, independence, and good collaboration skills.
  • Strong technical interest and willingness to work outdoors.
  • B-driving license (required).

Meritorious

  • Certifications: Lift Leader Certificate, Safe Lifting, Hot Work.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Experience with CAD, lift planning software, and project management systems.
  • Experience with large projects.

Other information

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period, and your work area will be Luleå. As a Lift Coordinator, you report to the Chief of Staff. In accordance with NCC's safety culture, we conduct background checks on our final candidates.

Placement

The role requires 100% on-site presence in Luleå.
