Job Summary

The night health executive ensures the continuity of managerial exercise and flow management at night across the entire establishment. This involves verifying patient movements, regulating non-scheduled patient arrivals, coordinating urgent procedures like transplants and ECMO, and supporting families during difficult situations. The role also includes managing paramedical staff adequacy, participating in resource planning, and assisting with conflict resolution. Other activities include relaying institutional information, participating in working groups, evaluating care practices, training night professionals, and coordinating vital emergencies.

Must Have

  • Ensure continuity of managerial exercise and night flow management.
  • Verify and update patient movements (admissions/discharges, provisional/actual durations).
  • Guarantee compliance with patient admission/discharge rules, bed opening/closing, and accommodation.
  • Regulate the arrival of non-scheduled patients (surgical and interventional emergencies, Thoracic Pain Emergencies (UDT)).
  • Coordinate transplant organization (registration, team and graft transport).
  • Coordinate the organization of urgent operating rooms, catheterizations, and ECMO placements.
  • Participate in accompanying families and teams during deaths and aggravation notices.
  • Ensure adequate paramedical staffing based on open beds.
  • Participate in planning substitute resources.
  • Assist in conflict management.
  • Relay institutional information to teams.
  • Participate in and lead working groups.
  • Participate in evaluating care practices.
  • Participate in training night professionals.
  • Be present at all vital emergencies and coordinate actors.
  • BAC+3 License level required.
  • Health executive diploma, master's degree or solid management project.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in MCO structure.
  • Proficiency in office tools (Office Suite).
  • Knowledge of the different specialties at HML.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.

Job Description

The night executive's activity is transversal and mainly consists of ensuring the continuity of managerial exercise and night flow management throughout the establishment. These tasks are carried out in collaboration with the managers of the hospitalization departments, flow managers, and the replacement manager, as well as medical and paramedical teams.

You will benefit from a 1.5-month tutoring training period before gaining autonomy.

You will join a team of 6 people and work according to an annualized 12-hour schedule.

1 - FLOW MANAGEMENT

  • Verify the entry and update of movements within the departments (admissions/discharges, provisional/actual durations)
  • Guarantee compliance with the rules:
  • for patient admissions/discharges
  • for opening and closing beds
  • for accommodation
  • Regulate the arrival of non-scheduled patients:
  • Collect medical requests and coordinate non-scheduled hospitalizations: surgical and interventional emergencies, Thoracic Pain Emergencies (UDT)
  • Coordinate transplant organization: registration in the registry, coordination of team and graft transport...
  • Identify the appropriate reception department in agreement with the responsible doctor
  • Ensure information sharing with relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate the organization of urgent operating rooms, catheterizations, and ECMO placements
  • Participate in supporting families and teams in situations of death and during aggravation notices in collaboration with doctors.

2 - MANAGERIAL EXERCISE

  • Ensure the adequacy of paramedical staff based on open beds
  • Participate in planning substitute resources in collaboration with unit managers
  • Help with conflict management

3 - OTHER ACTIVITIES

  • Relay institutional information to teams
  • Lead and participate in working groups
  • Participate in evaluating care practices in conjunction with the quality unit
  • Participate in training night professionals
  • Be present at all vital emergencies and coordinate the various actors.

Qualifications

  • BAC+3 License level required - Emergency management university diploma desired or Nurse profile having worked in resuscitation, intensive care, PACU, emergencies
  • Health executive diploma, master's degree or solid management project
