Job Summary
As the Team Lead of our Social Support Groups, you will lead a small team and support older adults to stay active and connected in their communities through engaging activities and social connections. This role involves managing day-to-day activities, leading a team of support workers, facilitating goal-oriented activities, building relationships with participants and community organizations, and coordinating transportation.
Must Have
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the social activity group program in Victoria
- Lead and support a small team of dedicated support workers
- Facilitate and lead engaging, goal-oriented activities for older adults
- Build strong relationships with participants, their carers, and community organizations
- Coordinate transportation for participants, including driving a 12-seater bus
- Promote and grow the service within the community
- Ensure all risk management and documentation are up-to-date and accurate
- Monitor income and expenses to keep the program within budget
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a similar role
- Experience coordinating in a community setting and delivering group activities to older adults
- Strong understanding of the diverse physical, social, emotional, and cultural needs of older adults, particularly those living with dementia
- Experience working with older adults
- Willingness to drive a 12-seater bus
- Aged Care qualifications or a related field required (Minimum Cert III Qualification in Aged Care, or Individual Support, and must have completed aged care components)
Good to Have
- Dementia-specific qualifications and/or experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Management

- Location: Healesville (Golden Wattle site) + Travel if required.
- Position: Part-time (Tuesdays, Thursday & Fridays, 9AM – 4PM), ongoing position.
- Salary: Competitive salary + super + up to $18,550 in generous Salary Packaging benefits

- Manage the day-to-day activities of the social activity group program in Victoria.

You are passionate, self-driven, and motivated to help others in the community.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Leadership experience: Demonstrated experience in a similar role leading others.
- Activities experience: Experience coordinating in a community setting and delivering group activities to older adults.
- A strong understanding of the diverse physical, social, emotional, and cultural needs of older adults, particularly those living with dementia.
- Experience working with older adults.
- Willingness to drive a 12- seater bus.
Qualifications

- Aged Care qualifications or a related field required (Minimum Cert III Qualification in Aged Care, or Individual Support, and must have completed aged care components).
- Dementia-specific qualifications and/or experience are highly desirable.
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Management is a plus.
