Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Level Designer for SPINE, a cinematic gun-fu shootouts game made with Unreal Engine 5 for PC and consoles. This role involves collaborating with design and tech teams to implement blueprint systems for levels and encounters, assisting in level preparation, enhancing level functionality, and participating in code reviews during blueprint development.
Good To Have:
  • Deep knowledge of blueprints and C++.
  • Experience with sequencer and streaming.
  • Experience with Perforce or Git.
  • Experience in designing and implementing game levels.
  • Understanding the basics of game design.
Must Have:
  • Collaborate with Level and Game Designers and tech teams to conceptualize and implement blueprint systems for levels and encounters.
  • Assist in level preparation, including streaming, collider markup and internal system markers.
  • Support and enhance level functionality during content development.
  • Participate in code reviews with technical teams during blueprint development.
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine.
  • Proficiency in visual scripting (blueprints) at a basic level.
  • Fluent communication in Russian is required.

We are looking for a Technical Level Designer for one of the studio’s leading projects – SPINE.

SPINE is made with Unreal Engine 5 and centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. It’s a third-person beat’em’up with a full set of PC gaming features, including a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and, most importantly, breathtaking battles with a wide array of firearms.

This project represents a new ambitious challenge for the company as it marks our first game for both PC and consoles.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Level and Game Designers and tech teams to conceptualize and implement blueprint systems for levels and encounters, ensuring functionality within internal systems
  • Assist in level preparation, including streaming, collider markup and internal system markers but not limited to, ensuring compatibility with technical constraints and artistic requests
  • Support and enhance level functionality during content development, integrating it seamlessly into the location
  • Participate in code reviews with technical teams during blueprint development

What we are looking for:

  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine
  • Proficiency in visual scripting (blueprints) at a basic level
  • Fluent communication in Russian is required
