Technical Manager

This role involves working in a dynamic environment within Drechtsteden real estate, managing a diverse portfolio of social properties. The Technical Manager combines technical expertise with organizational skills, ensuring optimal condition of buildings and technical installations. Responsibilities include managing renovations, restorations, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with legal inspections, and coordinating with contractors and users.

Must Have

• Ensure optimal condition of buildings and technical installations.

• Request quotes and ensure legal inspections.
• Control and coordinate maintenance work on location.
• Handle disruptions via the reporting system.
• Completed MBO civil engineering, preferably with electrical engineering knowledge.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a similar function.
• Demonstrable knowledge of laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of government procurement guidelines.

Where will you work?

You will work in a knowledge-driven team with 30 committed colleagues who have diverse backgrounds in the technical field of real estate management and maintenance. This allows you to learn a lot from each other. There is a hands-on mentality. Ideas about solutions are regularly exchanged, and attention is paid to the training you need to develop further. The work area is very diverse, from schools to swimming pools and from town halls to homes. Enjoyment in work is very important.

No day is the same in your role. It is dynamic, and you interact with many parties. Your responsibility is great, and you have the freedom to organize your work activities according to your own insights. Supporting colleagues in all possible issues is a matter of course for you.

What will you do?

As a technical manager, you are a true all-rounder. Naturally, you move in the world of renovation, restoration, regular, and corrective maintenance. Together with subcontractors and our own technical service, you ensure that the properties and technical installations under your management are in optimal condition. You manage the properties as if they were your own. It is important that the properties comply with all legal inspections, such as those applicable to legionella, roof safety, Nen3140, water pipe decree, and fire alarm systems. To gain control over this compliance, you use various software packages.

As a technical manager, you are in contact with contractors, real estate advisors, and users. You work together with fellow project leaders and building managers. Your tasks include requesting quotes, ensuring legal inspections, and checking and coordinating maintenance work on location. In addition, you ensure that disruptions, via our reporting system, are handled by the correct subcontractor or our own technical service and resolved according to agreement.

Your portfolio includes city offices, sports facilities, theaters, and residential homes, among others. You are the point of contact when it comes to technical expertise. We are curious about your knowledge and experiences within social real estate.
