Job Summary
Onward Search is looking to hire an AWS and MongoDB Technical Architect for a leading industry company. This role involves supporting multiple large-scale programs within a healthcare ecosystem, primarily focusing on designing resilient, scalable cloud-native solutions and optimizing complex data architectures. This temporary opportunity supports enterprise initiatives including modernization projects, digital member engagement platforms, AI-driven contact center capabilities, and service workflow platforms, requiring deep hands-on expertise in cloud architecture, data modeling, and integration.
Must Have
- Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end cloud solutions on AWS, ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, and secure.
- Serve as the expert for MongoDB, guiding data modeling, schema design, indexing, and performance tuning to optimize operational efficiency.
- Integrate AWS services with existing on-premises and cloud environments, supporting event-driven and API-based architectures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including product owners, analysts, and engineers, to refine requirements and develop comprehensive architectural diagrams.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, contribute to the development of new patterns, and facilitate cross-domain collaboration.
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, migrating, and deploying solutions within AWS using services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, and CloudWatch.
- Proven track record with MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, replication, sharding, and performance optimization.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, handling concurrency, race conditions, and message-based communications.
- Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript/Node.js, and RESTful API design.

AWS and MongoDB Technical Architect Responsibilities:

- Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript/Node.js, and RESTful API design.
- Effective communicator with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business teams, particularly within Agile or SAFe environments.
