Job Summary

This role involves developing standardized test boards for Infineon GIT GaN transistors, which are unique devices with potential for improved conduction losses and reduced physical size. Key responsibilities include PCB design, board soldering, circuit simulation, and device characterization and analysis through lab measurements. The ideal candidate is an Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar technical student with experience in PCB soldering and laboratory work, capable of independent and team-based tasks.

Must Have

  • Basic know-how in power electronics topologies (DC/DC, SMPS, Drives)
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken

Key responsibilities in your new role

Infineon GIT GaN transistor is a unique device on the market, and it has the capability to be more than a conventional power switch which can further improve on conduction losses and reduce the physical size of the component.

In this role your primary responsibility is help develop a standardised test boards to evaluate Infineon GIT GaN transistor.

  • Shape the future: PCB design and board soldering
  • Reliable work: Circuit simulation
  • Take responsibility: Device characterization and analysis via lab measurement

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • Study Field: Currently studying Electrical Engineering, Physics or a similar technical subject
  • Experience: Experience of PCB soldering and working in a laboratory required
  • Way of working: Ability to work independently but also enjoy working in a team
  • Skills: SPICE simulation, PCB design, basic know-how in power electronics topologies (DC/DC, SMPS, Drives)
  • Language Skills: Fluent English skills, both written and spoken; German is a plus

  • Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
  • You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
