As a CNC Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be responsible for designing and overseeing crucial CNC processes and equipment utilized in the production of our products. This high-profile role requires close collaboration with various teams including Product Design, Industrial Design, Manufacturing Design, and global suppliers. Your primary responsibilities will involve ensuring optimal design for CNC manufacturing, encompassing milling, turning, and multi-axis machining. You will leverage data, hands-on development, and testing to inform decisions regarding equipment selection, tooling, cutting strategies, CAM software, and related aspects. Given Apple's scale, your contributions will have significant global impacts.
