Job Description

Expedia Group seeks a Data Scientist to build end-to-end models, apply statistical methods, and partner with cross-functional teams. You'll utilize machine learning and statistical modeling to understand and predict real-world scenarios, extract and combine data for model building, and collaborate on innovative solutions. Experience with statistical modeling and data mining is essential.

In this role you will:

Build end-to-end design of models based on detailed understanding of business requirements including approach, algorithms and data sources. Apply common statistical methods such as linear and non-linear regression, multivariate analysis to interpret results. Partner with analysts, data scientists, operators, and other partners to advance product development and improvements. Utilize machine learning and statistical modeling to understand and predict real-world scenarios. Extract data from multiple data sources and combine them into the required data sets for model building or analytics. Build and maintain multiple data science projects in production environments. Collaborate with other statisticians and data scientists to formulate innovative solutions to experiment and implement advanced modeling techniques. Develop, validate, and maintain data mining tools, algorithms, and other capabilities. May telecommute.

Experience and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Data Science or related field

6 months of experience in the job offered or in a Data Scientist or Analyst-related occupation

Pay transparency

The total cash range for this position in Seattle, WA is $112,000 to $156,500/year.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
