Job Description: In the Document Control role, you will be responsible for managing and auditing document releases in our Windchill PLM system of record and our Sharepoint site, ensuring appropriate metadata is included to represent each document. As a Translation Specialist, you’ll be managing translation vendors, creating purchase orders, and working with Fluence teams to provide translation for many kinds of documents and labels.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Document Control - responsible for maintaining and executing document release procedures for our business. Duties include maintaining and releasing documents per process and standards, as well as maintaining storage to comply with laws and regulations.
Audit the quality and content of documents for adherence to documentation standards and policies.
Release product technical documents, such as drawings, certifications, datasheets, and manuals, in the company’s system of record, Windchill PLM and our SharePoint site.
Send weekly notice to keep company personnel updated on new document releases and updated versions. Provide access information and instructions.
Maintain document classifications, retention timelines, and related policies.
2. Translation Specialist - responsible for creating and maintaining translated materials needed for sales, services, transportation, manufacturing, and many other facets of our business.
· Understand the needs of stakeholders.
· Determine the best vendor for translation and timelines.
· Procure a quote and approve through the stakeholders.
· Initiate a Purchase Order and manage the work.
· Obtain final approval on translated materials and release.
· Conduct quarterly translation updates to prevent stale content.
Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in document and change management
· Strong background in data control release, standards, laws, and regulations
· Expert in change process procedure, organization, tracking, and implementation
· Familiar with tools like Netsuite, Coupa, Windchill PLM, SharePoint, Confluence, and Office Suite
· Exposure to Battery Storage industry is preferred
· Strong work ethic and commitment to engineering excellence
· Excellent communication skills for cross-functional problem solving
