We're currently looking for a teammate who will be able to join us nearly full-time. If you would like to spend your days squashing bugs and helping our players experience the game in the best possible way, read on! 🐞

WHO ARE WE?

We're a team of Feature Testers and we're dedicated to ensuring the quality and stability of our games throughout both development and post-release stages. Our expertise lies in evaluating gameplay mechanics, user interfaces, and in-game systems to ensure a seamless player experience. By conducting thorough functional testing, identifying bugs, and providing actionable feedback to developers, we contribute to refining every aspect of the game. Utilizing tools like Xcode and Android Studio for platform-specific testing, Jira for task and bug tracking, and Git for source control, we meticulously test each feature to ensure the game performs flawlessly and meets our high standards for player experience. 💪🏼

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Search for gameplay bugs (UI, game crashes, in-app purchases, etc.) and ways to reproduce them
  • Write detailed bug reports for our development team
  • Continuously test to ensure a flawless user experience
  • Give feedback on gameplay
  • Work together with the entire production team (developers, artists, writers, UI, …)

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO UNLOCK THIS ROLE?

  • Student status with availability to work a minimum of 4 days per week (30+ hours per week, weekend excluded)
  • Being comfortable using English, especially in writing, as you will use it to draft bug reports
  • An analytical mind and a keen eye for details - no bug can escape you 🔍
  • Passion for following trends in the tech industry, particularly about iOS/Android
  • A high level of personal responsibility and taking pride in your work
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to set priorities among various tasks
  • Resilience to frustration and the ability to self-motivate when faced with repetitive tasks
  • Understanding the importance of quality assurance in game development and the distinction between doing it as a job vs. "playing games all day" 😊

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART?

  • Basic knowledge of programming
  • Experience with mobile app/game testing
  • Experience with casual mobile games
  • Experience with bug reporting tools

WHAT DO WE OFFER IN RETURN?

  • Professional development: For starters, we don't see you as "just a student" but as an equal member of the team who will develop their skills and grow alongside us! We promise a structured and smooth onboarding process, complete with scheduled feedback sessions and support from both a mentor and a buddy. To keep you and your team on the cutting edge of industry trends, we also provide a team budget for ongoing education.
  • Financial benefits: We offer a starting salary of 5.25 EUR/hour for the position, along with additional financial benefits such as a Christmas bonus, Easter bonus and summer bonus.
  • Fostering team connection: You’ll be joining an amazing team of talented individuals who form a closely knit community. We actively support team connection through various internal workshops that facilitate knowledge and skills sharing. Additionally, we host exciting quarterly parties, an annual off-site teambuilding event (check out this video from our last adventure!), engaging pub quizzes, and our creative internal game jam. Our team also has the opportunity to propose ideas for new games, fostering a strong sense of ownership and purpose.
  • Work-life balance: We are deeply dedicated to our work, but also understand the importance of switching off and recharging. To support this, we offer flexible working hours, allowing you to start your day anytime between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m, and even more flexibility during the finals. Full-time students working with us not only benefit from an hour-long lunch break but also enjoy an exceptional perk—12 days of paid vacation upon reaching their first work anniversary! Our flexible work model allows you to choose the environment where you work best, whether that’s from home, the office, or a mix of both. During your onboarding period, we’ll ask you to work from the office to get acclimated and connect with the team, but once you're up to speed, you'll have the freedom to select the work arrangement that suits you best.
  • Last but not least, you will get to work with an amazing team in top-notch offices and an atmosphere that is simultaneously motivating, friendly and productive! :)

If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, we look forward to your application! Please apply with a cover letter and a CV in English only :)

WHAT’S NEXT?

  • Initial Screening: We’ll start by reviewing all applications to identify those best suited for the position. If you’re not selected this time, please feel free to apply again in the future; we’d be happy to consider your application.
  • Practical Assignment: To give you a clearer picture of the role and help us assess your fit, you'll first have to complete a practical assignment at our offices. You’ll have 90 minutes to complete it.
  • Interview: Candidates who excel in the assignment will be invited to an interview. This will combine a culture fit assessment with a technical evaluation to further explore your suitability for the role.
  • Final Decision
