Production Manager – Animation (3D & VFX)

Production Manager Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of animated projects across our 3D animation and VFX departments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animation pipelines, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality content on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow across 3D and VFX teams
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and department leads to define project scope and timelines
• Track progress and ensure milestones are met across all phases of production
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, proactively mitigating risks to delivery
• Maintain clear communication between creative, technical, and production teams
• Supervise daily operations, including task assignments, reviews, and approvals
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and studio guidelines
• Manage vendor relationships and outsourcing when applicable
• Prepare and present regular production reports to stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Production Manager in 3D Animation and VFX
• Solid grasp of 3D & VFX pipelines, including asset creation, simulation, rendering, and compositing
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
