Job Description

As an Atlassian Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing the Atlassian suite, including JIRA and Confluence, to streamline processes, support the engineering lifecycle, and empower teams to deliver their best work. You will configure and maintain JIRA, Confluence, and related tools, design custom workflows, manage user access, automate workflows, provide user support, and integrate JIRA with other systems. You will collaborate with various teams to tailor the tools to meet business needs, improve workflows, and integrate systems. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of JIRA administration experience
  • Expertise in configuring and customizing Atlassian tools
  • Proficiency in JIRA Query Language (JQL)
  • Experience integrating Atlassian tools with other systems
Good to have:
  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • 1 year of professional experience in Software Engineering

Are you passionate about optimizing tools that help software teams thrive? We’re looking for an Atlassian Administrator to manage and enhance our suite of Atlassian tools—including JIRA, Confluence, and others—to streamline processes, support our engineering lifecycle, and empower teams to deliver their best work.

In this highly collaborative role, you’ll work with Software Engineering, Software Test, TechOps, and Product teams to tailor our Atlassian tools to meet business needs, improve workflows, and integrate systems that accelerate delivery. What You’ll Do:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain JIRA, JIRA Service Management, Confluence, Atlas/Home, and related Atlassian tools.
  • Design and implement custom workflows, fields, screens, and dashboards to support team and business processes.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and security settings in alignment with company policies.
  • Automate workflows using JIRA Automation, scripting, and add-ons to boost efficiency.
  • Provide user support and training, troubleshoot system issues, and improve usability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, QA, TechOps, Product, and IT to integrate JIRA with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and third-party tools.
  • Evaluate and manage JIRA plug-ins and add-ons for functionality, compatibility, and compliance.
  • Monitor system performance, apply updates, and ensure JIRA services are reliable and available.
  • Document workflows, policies, and best practices to foster internal knowledge sharing.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Applied Sciences OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a JIRA Administrator in a software development environment.
  • Expertise in configuring and customizing JIRA, Confluence, and related Atlassian tools.
  • Proficiency in JIRA Query Language (JQL), dashboard creation, and reporting.
  • Experience integrating Atlassian tools with systems like GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, or ServiceNow using REST APIs or webhooks.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies and supporting Agile teams.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in Software Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of design and development methodologies such as DDD, TDD, or BDD.
