We’re looking to hire a B2B SaaS Developer Technical Writer for a remote opportunity with our client, a global information services company and one of the major credit reporting agencies. This is a 12-month+ contract role. Candidates in CST and EST time zones are preferred.
In this role, you’ll join the Technical Writing Team to create clear and concise documentation for both internal and external audiences. You'll collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to produce high-quality content around new product features, API updates, and integrations. You'll also play a key role in maintaining standards of clarity, consistency, and usability across all documentation.

B2B SaaS Developer Technical Writer Responsibilities:
- Create engaging and informative content for developers while maintaining high standards of clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to create documentation for new product features, API updates, and integrations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, customer support, and other stakeholders to ensure technical content meets the needs of users and developers.
- Establish writing standards and best practices for internal and external documentation to ensure consistency and usability.
- Identify areas for improvement in existing content, processes, and tools.
B2B SaaS Developer Technical Writer Qualifications:
- A portfolio with a real-life example of writing skills that is public and published.
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing, especially within B2B SaaS environments.
- Strong technical writing skills with a demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise documentation.
- Expertise in API documentation and a deep understanding of software development processes.
- Proficiency with tools such as Markdown, Git, and JIRA; familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfortable collaborating with technical teams including developers, engineers, and product managers.
- Experience writing about backend languages like Ruby, Go, Python, PHP, Node, or Java.
- Ability to read front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience with large-scale information architecture projects.
