Backend & Cloud Software Engineer (M/F)

Join the Thales DIS Banking & Payment Business Unit in La Ciotat as a software development team member contributing to the Thales Digital First offering. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for high-quality payment card issuance services. You will ensure code quality, engage in Agile methodologies, and contribute to L3 customer support, staying updated with industry best practices.

Must Have

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project requirements.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications.
• Ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Engage in Agile methodologies and sprint contributions.
• Provide L3 customer support and stay updated with best practices.
• 5-10 years of software development experience.
• Significant experience in AWS cloud and NodeJS development.
• Mastery of NodeJS, ExpressJS, TypeScript, KeyCloak, AWS cloud.
• Knowledge of security and cryptography (OAuth2, PKCS7, JWE).
• Proficiency in MongoDB, MySQL, Jenkins, Gitlab, Splunk, Datadog.
• Demonstrate autonomy, teamwork, and decision-making.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).

Project / role / missions description

Within the Thales DIS Banking & Payment Business Unit, you will be part of a software development team contributing to the Thales Digital First offering. Thales Digital First is a revolution in payment card issuance, enabling issuers to offer their customers high-quality physical and digital EMV cards. As a software developer, you will collaborate with the product owner, testers, and developers to design, implement, and maintain software applications that meet customer needs. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services.

• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to define project requirements.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications.
• Ensure code quality and maintainability through well-documented processes.
• Engage in Agile methodologies and contribute to sprint and retrospective aspects.
• Contribute to L3 customer support and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

Your profile

Do you have a software engineering degree with 5-10 years of experience and significant initial experience in AWS cloud and NodeJS software development? Do you master:
