Join our client's team as a Collection Specialist, where you'll play a pivotal role in recovering losses from assigned accounts. Your expertise will help manage and resolve delinquent accounts, ensuring a positive impact on our client's financial health. You'll work on-site 3-4 days per week as part of a hybrid schedule.

Collection Specialist Responsibilities:
- Oversee a portfolio of delinquent accounts, initiating contact with debtors via phone, email, and written communication.
- Discuss outstanding debts, explore payment options, and negotiate effective payment arrangements.
- Maintain detailed records of all collection activities, ensuring compliance with client standards and federal regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing debtor inquiries, providing accurate information, and resolving concerns.
- Employ skip tracing techniques to locate debtors with outdated contact information.
Collection Specialist Qualifications:
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with a respectful and professional communication style.
- Proficient verbal and written communication abilities, including active listening and empathy.
- Capability to manage challenging conversations and resolve conflicts while maintaining professionalism.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Basic computing skills and the ability to obtain a required license for collections upon placement.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Some college coursework in business or related fields (preferred).
- 0-1 years of experience in collections or customer service roles, ideally within a financial or credit environment (preferred).
- Familiarity with collections software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (preferred).
- Understanding of debt collection laws, regulations, and compliance requirements (preferred).
