As a Designer (Systems) at Insomniac, you will be responsible for developing designs for systems within an assigned project and implementing them in the game. This involves creating detailed technical documentation, visual design materials, and presentations that describe the layout, content, mechanics, systems, and features. You will design and develop player interactions and systems, including combat, navigation, progression, and economy for a single-player environment. This role also involves technical scripting, hands-on implementation within the editor, and implementing game systems such as economy, balance, progression, and ambient features. Additionally, you'll implement gameplay and game structure while working with the Gameplay Programming team to meet project goals and deadlines. This role requires addressing bugs and gameplay issues to ensure a polished product, and helping assess the progress, quality, and user-friendliness of the project.
