The Ecommerce Director will oversee Zenith's growing marketplace ecommerce offering across Australia and New Zealand. This role is responsible for the strategy and implementation of ecommerce initiatives on platforms like Amazon, eBay, Citrus, Facebook, and Google, managing both content and media. Reporting to the National Head of Digital & Data, the director will accelerate ecommerce business growth, develop the offering, and implement best practices in marketplace ecommerce.
Must have:
  • Oversee Zenith's marketplace ecommerce offering in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Accountable for strategy and implementation of ecommerce initiatives on platforms (Amazon, eBay, Citrus, Facebook, Google).
  • Manage ecommerce content and media initiatives for Zenith/Groupe clients.
  • Accelerate growth of ecommerce business.
  • Create and implement effective ecommerce campaigns.
  • Develop audits, scorecards, and use data for optimization (keyword research, budgeting, media recommendations).
  • Improve brand presence, SEO/REO across ecommerce marketplaces.
  • Oversee Seller/Vendor Central operations (account health, pricing, product reviews).
  • Stay updated on ecommerce industry trends and adapt strategies.
  • Participate in new business opportunities (commercial and strategic).
  • Multitask across projects/brands with excellent time management.
  • Simplify complex product information for customers.
  • Think fast, be unhesitating, and have a point of view.
  • Challenge the status quo for customer and business benefit.
  • Be a self-starter and thrive in an 'intrapreneurial' environment.
  • Influence eCommerce focused new business pitches.
  • Present to client-side Marketing Director level and above.

Overview

The transformation you will experience:

The purpose of the role is to oversee the growing marketplace ecommerce offering at Zenith across Australia and New Zealand. This role is accountable for the strategy and implementation of ecommerce initiatives on platforms/marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Citrus, Facebook, and Google. The role involves management of both ecommerce content and media initiatives for Zenith/Groupe clients.

Reporting to the National Head of Digital & Data, the role exists to accelerate the growth of ecommerce business. This role will have an opportunity to develop the offering and work across global hubs on best practice implementation of content and media strategies in marketplace ecommerce. There is tremendous opportunity of growth in the role with a hugely exciting and rapidly growing team

Your scope will include:

  • Create and implement effective ecommerce campaigns across platforms/marketplaces (specifically Amazon, Google, Facebook, eBay, Citrus) that deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop audits, scorecards and use data to identify optimisation opportunities, including keyword research, budgeting and make recommendations regarding media and advertising opportunities.
  • Develop audits, scorecards and use research and data to improve brand presence, SEO/REO (including detail page optimisation) across ecommerce marketplaces.
  • Oversee Seller/Vendor Central operations, such as account health checks, pricing strategy recommendations and product reviews analysis.
  • Remain across ecommerce industry trends, compile data into client-facing collateral and use the information to adapt existing campaign strategies relevant to each brand.
  • Participate in new business opportunities as they pertain to marketplace ecommerce – commercially and strategically.
  • Experience merchandising/content optimisation on ecommerce marketplaces (highly regarded).
  • Have an aptitude to multitask across different projects/brands with excellent time management experience.
  • Desire to make the complex nature of product simple and easy to convey to our customers via the customer leads as well as directly to customers.
  • Aptitude to think fast, be unhesitating and have a point of view.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo for the benefit of customers and our business.
  • Is a self-starter and thrives in an environment which assists ‘intrapreneurialism’.
  • Capable of influencing eCommerce focused new business pitches, working closely with other department spearheads to produce optimum in market proposals.
  • Comfortable presenting to equivalent level on client side (Marketing Director and above).
  • You are the team director and need to relay direction in a clear, comprehensible way. You must have good Emotional Intelligence and judgement on when and how to
  • Aptitude to inspire people at all levels and create relationships with other craft spearheads is essential.

What type of person will be successful in this role:

  • Currently in a similar role in Performance Media/eCommerce working across paid search or an excellent grasp of Performance Media (planning and buying)
  • Experience conducting performance campaigns on ecommerce marketplaces (e.g. Amazon, Citrus, eBay, Facebook), utilizing search/sponsored and DSPs advertising solutions.
  • Passionate about data, analytics and reporting.
  • Have excellent attention to detail including well developed written and oral communication experiences.
  • Be self-motivated and results orientated.
  • Strong team management and influential experience. Has proven abilities in mentoring, training and developing high performing teams.
  • Can confidently present, and construct well-substantiated digital media strategies
