Job Summary
Quest Global is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in Japan. The role involves designing and modifying electrical engineering assemblies, layouts, and detailed drawings for various systems including cable, PCB, FPGA, and PLC. Responsibilities include developing high-frequency RF systems, managing BoM and engineering changes, and ensuring product quality through testing. The engineer will support new product documentation and maintain compliance with industry standards, contributing to innovative solutions in the medical equipment manufacturing industry.
Must Have
- 5-8 years of experience in electrical engineering design concepts and applications
- Experience with components, schematics, electrical systems, and operating machinery
- Knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, relays, and power supplies
- Experience in cable design and Single Line Diagram creation
- Circuit design (PCB, power supply system)
- Experience in PLC program validation and real-time ladder logic monitoring
- Familiarity with various user interfaces
- Proficiency in Auto CAD (wiring design) / 3D CAD, Siemens S7 1200 PLC, OrCAD, Microsoft Visio, Creo, Zuken
- Knowledge of OEM selection, BOM management, documentation, release process, and reliability testing
- Working knowledge of engineering change management
- Experience with measuring instruments (ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes) and electrical evaluations
- Experience with standards such as CE, Medical equipment, S8, S22 / NFPA 79, UL508A
- Basic knowledge of high-frequency (RF) technology
- PC skills (Excel functions, PowerPoint document creation, email software)

Project Overview and Responsibilities
- Cable Design Unit, PCB design, FPGA design, PLC design
- Development of high-frequency (RF)systems and handling issues/defects after mass production
- Design of unit wiring, arrangement, assembly, modification work, handling measuring instruments
- Supporting the design and development of transport system materials, and tasks related to wire harness design and other project related support
- Supports New product documentation by OMS Creation for NPI/CIP Builds
- Design or modify electrical engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics, and detailed drawings/specifications of moderate scope under general and minimal supervision
- Review and execute engineering document changes ensuring compliance with standard procedures. Escalation support for different tools (Troubleshooting the errors occurring in electrical modules/tool and providing instant solution to them)
- BoM and Engineering Change Management
- Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components and by soliciting observations from operators
- Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods and testing finished products and system capabilities
- Develop electrical products by studying customer requirements and researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials
- Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations
- Maintains product database by writing computer programs and entering data
