Summary

Warner Bros. Discovery seeks an experienced Enterprise Architect to build a new Business Outcome-Driven Enterprise Architecture practice. Responsibilities include providing guidance on EA best practices, leading workstreams related to EA function buildout (including LeanIX tooling), stewarding architectural frameworks, consulting senior management on application rationalization and risk reduction, identifying process improvement opportunities, and providing data-driven insights to shape business strategies. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in IT within a complex organization, with a focus on Enterprise Architecture, technology strategy, or solution architecture, and 3+ years in a Business Outcome-Driven EA practice.
Must have:
  • 10+ years IT experience in complex org

  • Strong communication & leadership skills

Your New Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our organization as an Enterprise Architect reporting into the Technology Strategy and Enterprise Architecture (EA) organization. This role will play a critical part in building out a new Business Outcome-Driven Enterprise Architecture practice that is aligned with our business objectives.

We are looking for someone who will roll up their sleeves, take ownership, drive execution and who has demonstrated success delivering outcomes within an EA function. We need an individual who is technically minded and can effectively communicate with technical and business stakeholders within a dynamic, fast-growing company. Strong candidates will have a demonstrated record of success working in uncertain environments.

This is a position within Warner Bros. Discovery, a leading global entertainment company resulting from the merger of WarnerMedia and Discovery Inc. Initially reporting directly to the SVP of Technology Strategy and Enterprise Architecture, the successful candidate will leverage prior experiences to mature the EA practice along with related tooling, resulting in a world class EA practice in support of our company's growth and transformation.

Your Role Accountabilities:

  • Provide guidance and thought leadership for the company in the areas of Enterprise Architecture best practice, solution architecture best practice, and business outcome-focused technology adoption.
  • Lead workstreams related to the buildout, maturation and running of the enterprise architecture function including Enterprise Architecture tooling like LeanIX.
  • Provide stewardship of architectural frameworks and guiding principles to guide technology decision-making and ensure interoperability, scalability, and security across our systems and platforms.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security in all data-related activities.
  • Be a consultant to senior management and stakeholders to garner insights related to application rationalization, reduction of risk or technical debt and the evolution of technology adoption over time and present your findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the EA practice.
  • Provide data-driven insights to help shape business strategies and optimize technology investments.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in technology to maintain a competitive edge and utilize that knowledge to continuously improve Enterprise Architecture processes and tooling.

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with operating within IT or similar function, and within a complex organization. Focus areas must include one or more of the following areas: Enterprise Architecture, technology innovation, technology strategy, technology or solution architecture.
  • 3+ years operating within a Business Outcome-Driven Enterprise Architecture practice with the focus of enabling business outcomes.
  • Experience building Business Capability and Business Process Models in support of the Enterprise Architecture practice.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Architecture tooling (applications) to support the EA function. Experience with LeanIX preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies, with expertise in defining and implementing scalable and secure technology solutions.
  • Experience working in a global and multi-cultural environment, with the ability to navigate and influence different regions and business units.
  • Experience working across business silos to gain support of a new process or function that resulted in a fruitful partnership (consensus leadership).
