Job Summary

In WSP Argentina, we are looking for a Geochemist to join our Water team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support in projects related to hydrochemistry, geochemistry, and hydrogeology, mainly in studies applied to the mining industry. The professional will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on solving environmental problems, contributing analysis, interpretation, and technical proposals.

Must Have

  • Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret hydrochemical and geochemical data, both in the office and in the field, using statistical and data management tools
  • Design, manage, and execute hydrochemical, geochemical, and hydrogeological characterization studies in the field and laboratory
  • Support projects related to permits, water quality baseline studies, chemical stability, closure, and remediation plans, especially in the mining context
  • Prepare technical reports and communicate results clearly and effectively
  • Proactively collaborate in solving environmental problems with multidisciplinary teams
  • University degree in Geology, Civil Engineering (Chemical or Environmental) or other related career
  • Geochemical modeling (PHREEQC, Geochemist Workbench)
  • Data analysis and management tools (SQL, R, Python, Excel)
  • Experience in acid mine drainage and water quality studies
  • Ability to perform field sampling and laboratory analysis

Good to Have

  • Master's or Diploma in Environmental Geochemistry, Applied Hydrogeology or related field (desirable)
