Kwalee is seeking an HR Business Partner to join its HR Team in Leamington Spa, England. Reporting to the Group HR Director, this role involves providing comprehensive HR support and guidance to managers and employees. Key responsibilities include coaching on people management, handling employee relations, supporting global HR, and contributing to learning and development plans, particularly for leadership teams, to ensure high performance and engagement.

As we continue to grow, an important vacancy has become available within our HR Team for an HR Business Partner.

Reporting directly to the Group HR Director and supporting the Head of People Development, the main purpose of this role is to work as a trusted HR partner with managers and employees by offering comprehensive HR support and guidance. This role will also directly support the Group’s learning and development plans, focusing particularly on initiatives for our leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coaching and guiding managers in all aspects of people management to ensure a high standard of performance.
  • Supporting with Employee Relations (ER) cases.
  • Developing and ensuring the delivery of local people plans.
  • Working with and supporting our Global HR Team in India.
  • Supporting business change management, making sure that employees remain engaged to improve HR processes and our reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Working with people leaders to review organisational design and structure to ensure effectiveness and that employees are suitably qualified and developed.
  • Supporting the launch of new HR initiatives by ensuring effective communication and providing good access to company news, vacancies, and surveys.
  • Coaching managers on complex performance management issues.
  • Running and reviewing performance calibration discussions as needed.
  • Analysing skills gaps and improving the ability of the workforce through leadership, supervisory, and general development programmes.
  • Supporting the design and delivery of Learning & Development (L&D) activities, with a specific focus on leadership development programmes for senior teams.
  • Using people analytics data to help managers make informed decisions.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • Demonstrable experience as an HR generalist, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • CIPD or equivalent qualification.
  • Advanced practical knowledge and experience of HR matters, covering a wide range of activities and proven HR practices and policies.
  • Essential commercial understanding and experience gained through cross-functional working.
  • Proven experience in identifying training needs and supporting the implementation of L&D initiatives, especially those focused on building leadership capability.
  • The ability to take commercial information and use it to shape the HR agenda and influence the business.
  • Proven ability to persuade, influence, and build trust across all levels and functions.
