Job Summary
Kwalee is seeking a Management Accountant for its Bangalore Finance team. This permanent, on-site role involves ensuring accurate financial management, timely statutory compliance, and smooth execution of accounting processes. The successful candidate will lead month-end and year-end activities, support audits, mentor team members, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance commercial success, driving accuracy and innovation within the finance function.
Must Have
- Lead year-end accounting and external audit process.
- Lead month-end close process.
- Mentor and guide finance team members.
- Review sales and purchase invoices in NetSuite.
- Oversee daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Review GST returns and ensure compliance with TDS and income tax requirements.
- Manage monthly payroll process.
- 4-6 years of experience in management accounting.
- Strong understanding of Indian statutory compliance (GST, TDS, income tax).
- Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting platforms.
- Strong expertise in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive automation and process improvements.
- Based in Bangalore office for 5 days per week.

As we continue to grow, we are now looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Bangalore.
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial management, timely statutory compliance, and smooth execution of key accounting processes. You’ll lead month-end and year-end activities, support audits, mentor finance team members, and work closely with stakeholders to maximise the commercial success of the company.
This is a permanent role based in our Bangalore office, where our collaborative work culture drives accuracy, innovation, and operational excellence across the finance function.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the year-end accounting and external audit process.
- Assist management with monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Lead the month-end close process and ensure timely completion.
- Mentor and guide other finance team members.
- Review sales and purchase invoices in NetSuite.
- Review accruals and prepayments as part of month-end close.
- Oversee daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Submit and approve bank payment runs.
- Review monthly profit-per-game reporting.
- Review GST returns and ensure compliance with TDS and income tax requirements.
- Assist in preparing Indian tax claims.
- Review and manage the monthly payroll process.
- Maximise profitability and negotiate optimal commercial terms for the company.
- Research, recommend, and implement new systems and automation solutions.
- Present financial insights clearly to senior managers and other teams.
- Ensure full compliance with company processes and financial controls.
- Support ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Financial Controller, CFO, COO, or CEO.
Requirements:
- 4–6 years of experience in management accounting or a similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of Indian statutory compliance (GST, TDS, income tax).
- Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting platforms.
- Strong expertise in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Experience mentoring or guiding finance team members.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive automation and process improvements.
- Based in our Bangalore office for 5 days per week
