INTERNSHIP - DEVOPS - Study and migration of supervision platform - M / F

This internship involves studying and migrating a supervision platform. The intern will analyze the current Nagios platform, compare Zabbix and Centreon solutions, and prepare for migration to the chosen solution. This role focuses on improving reliability and rationalizing supervision tools for aluminum production systems, involving robust IT architecture reflection, preventive maintenance, and DevOps automation.

By joining us in Montbonnot, you will integrate a site near Grenoble located in the Inovallée technopole at the foot of the mountains, bringing together our digital services activities that enable us to operate our clients' critical information systems and support them in their secure digital transformation.

CONTEXT:

As part of an improvement, reliability, and rationalization initiative for the Nagios tool, used to supervise the production systems of aluminum plants, you will participate in a comparative study between Zabbix and Centreon solutions, then prepare the migration to the chosen solution.

This internship is for those who wish to take on a technical challenge, think about robust IT architectures, and get involved in preventive maintenance and DevOps automation.

With the help of a technical leader, the IT "systems and automation" team, and within the project team of a Service Center specialized in industrial IT and software operation, you will evolve in an international environment.

YOUR MISSIONS:

• Analyze the current functioning of the Nagios platform and choose system metrics.
• Comparatively study Zabbix and Centreon solutions.
• Develop migration tools: automatic extraction of Nagios configurations, transformation, and import to the new chosen platform.
• Automate the installation, packaging, and deployment of new instances.
• Develop new probes and integrate existing ones.
• Depending on the progress of the internship and your development wishes, discover and work on other projects carried out by the Service Center.

You have knowledge in:

• Language: Python, Shell Unix;
• Network protocols: IP/TCP/UDP, SNMP, ICMP…;
• Database: Oracle, PostgreSQL;
• Supervision: Nagios, Zabbix, Centreon;
• System: RedHat/CentOS, Linux, RPM packages.
