Job Summary

The Project Management Officer (PMO) integrates the Airborne Connectivity Products and Solutions (CAP) sector, focusing on engineering development projects. As a core team member, the PMO ensures project management expertise in compliance with Thales standards. Responsibilities include participating in the transition from bid to program phase, managing budget allocation, implementing planning techniques like PERT, MSP, and Earned Value, tracking progress, analyzing deviations, challenging cost/planning/deadline consistency, updating Primavera, preparing financial reviews, managing documentation, and overseeing risks and opportunities.

Must Have

  • Participate in the transition from the Bid phase to the program phase (structuring, WBS, planning of human and non-human resources and milestones).
  • Ensure the proper allocation of budgets and work packages in coordination with management control and the project manager.
  • Implement PERT, MSP, and Earned Value planning techniques and tools.
  • Collect monthly progress information for work packages, analyze deviations, and propose action plans.
  • Challenge the consistency of cost / planning / deadlines and consolidate the remaining work for the project.
  • Update the Workload Plan, the main milestones, and Earned Value in Primavera.
  • Be responsible for preparing and holding project financial reviews with Management.
  • Implement document management.
  • Manage and challenge data in the Risks & Opportunities register.
  • Contribute to the production of useful data for various reports.
  • Throughout the project, ensure the consistency and relevance of the project's reference data.
  • At least 8 years of successful experience in engineering development project management/leadership.
  • Proficiency in development project management tools (MSProject, Primavera, PMBI, GIRO, JIRA) and Microsoft Suite tools.

Your daily life

The Gennevilliers Campus is the heart of design, development, and support activities for major defense systems: radio communications, resilient infrastructure networks and systems, satellite communications, collaborative combat, and cybersecurity. Located north of Paris, it is quickly accessible by public transport.

You will join the Airborne Connectivity Products and Solutions (CAP) sector as a Project Management Officer (PMO) on engineering development projects.

As a member of the project's Core Team, you will provide expert project management in accordance with the Thales framework.

More specifically, you will:

Your profile

  • Are you an Engineer or Business School graduate with at least 8 years of successful experience in engineering development project management/leadership?
  • Are you proficient in development project management tools (MSProject, Primavera, PMBI, GIRO, JIRA) and Microsoft Suite tools?
  • Do your peers recognize your strong coordination skills, your service-oriented mindset, your interpersonal skills, and your sense of diplomacy?
  • Are your autonomy, rigor, analytical mind, and ability to work in a complex team environment characteristic of you?
  • Your control, analysis, and alert capabilities are essential for this position.
